Paradise - Ptu Tut

This tutorial was written by myself on 07/20/10

What you need:

Paint Shop Pro
Animation Shop
Tube of choice or the one I am using by
Gennadiy Koufay.
Do not use unless you purchase a license to do so.

Filters: Xero- ArtGrain, Nostalgia, Porcelain
Tramages - Tow The Line
EyeCandy4000 - Jiggle
Font - Passions Conflict

*Note*
After Each resize Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen
DropShadow Throughout - 0,0,80,10, black


1- Open your image in PSP
Shift D to duplicate and close the original.
Resize image to 800 on longest side

2 - File new 700 x 650 (we will resize later)
Select All and paste your image into selection.
Shift D to duplicate/minimize for later use.

3- Select All/float/defloat/modify/contract/30
choose a dark color from your image
layer new/flood fill with the dark color
Selection/modify/contract/2/delete

4- Click raster 1 layer/new raster layer
effects/3d-cutout - 0,0,75,75,black
select none

5- Back to raster 1 layer
Selectall/float/defloat/contract/30/invert/
adjust/blur/gaussian/15/layer duplicate/image/flip/
in layers palette/right click Floating/promote selection to layer
properties/opacity-64/layer merge down
effects/texture/blinds - 2,40,black,left/top checked OK
select/invert/dropshadow
select none/merge all

6- Image/add border/3/symettric checked/dark color
add border/30/symettric checked/white
using magic wand select border
maximize your duplicated image
edit copy/paste into selection
go ahead and close out the duplicate image now
adjust blur/gaussian/15/dup/image flip
in layers palette right click Floating/promote selection to layer
properties/opacity-64/merge down
effects/xero-artgrain with the following settings:



effects/tramages/tow-the-line with the follwoing settings:



selections/invert/dropshadow
select none/merge all

7- image/border/3/symettric checked your dark color

8- from the kit- driftwood - resize 38% smartsize/image mirror/
select all/float/defloat/modify/feather/10/invert/tap delete key 3 or 4 times
place bottom corner/see tag for placement/properties - 75 dropshadow

9- From the kit open and resize the following
copy/paste each, see my tag for placement

shell1 - resize 15 smartsize
shell2- resize 20 smartsize, place under shell 1 as in tag
shell3- resize 15 smartsize
shell4- resize 15 smartsize, place under shell 3 as in tag
dropshadow each layer.

10- From the kit open the starfish - resize 12 smartsize
duplicate and resize 80% smartsize
(do this 2 more times for a total of 4 starfish)
position in tag, see mine for placement.
dropshadow each layer.

11- Open tube, if using same as me, resize 75% smartsize
place in bottom corner with hand resting on frame
layer duplicate and on original layer/adjust/blur/gaussian/8
go to your top tube layer and dropshadow
on top tube layer/effects/xero - nostalagia with the following settings:



effects/xero - porcelain with the following settings:



12- From kit open the pearl of the seas
resize20% smartsize
position, see my tag for placement, dropshadow

13- Open hook resize 40% smartsize
Image/rotate/free rotate right 52
Deformation tool with the following settings:



14- Add copyright

15- Add name dropshadow

16- Close off background layer,
click top layer and merge visible
open background layer back up

Resize all layers 600pixels on longest side
*DO NOT SHARPEN*

NOW TO ANIMATE:

Close off top layer
Highlight BG Layer Promote Background Layer

Using Freehand Selection Tool - Mode Replace Feather-1 Anti-Alias Checked
Make selection around the water like in image below:



Duplicate Twice for a total of 3
Rename them Lake 1, Lake 2, Lake 3



Close off Lake 2 and 3, Highlight Lake 1
Effects/EC4-Jiggle with the following settings:



Open Lake 2 effect/ec4-Jiggle hit random seed once

Open Lake 3 effect/ec4-jiggle hit random seed once

Select None and Open top layer.

Close off Lake 2 and Lake 3
Highlight the top layer/ Edit/Copy Merged
In AS Paste as New Animation

Close off Lake 1 and Open Lake 2
Edit/Copy Merged
In AS Paste after current frame

Close off Lake 2 and Open Lake 3
Edit/Copy Merged
In AS Paster after current frame

View Animation
If happy with it, save as
